The workbench

Become the AI enabler at your company.

The workbench is a web app for the person who wants to lead AI at work. Describe a task people at your company repeat by hand, and the workbench maps it step by step and marks what a machine can take. Each marked step comes with a prompt for the AI tool your company already pays for.

01 · Who it is for

For the person who already uses AI at work

AI enabler

The person inside a company who finds the robot work, maps how it runs, and hands the steps a machine can take to the AI tools the company already owns. It is often an informal role, held by someone in operations, finance, or project management.

Robot work

Any task a person repeats by hand that software should be doing. Retyping a report from one system into another is robot work. Deciding what to flag to your boss stays with you.

You may already be doing this job. You use Copilot or ChatGPT on your own, colleagues ask how you did something, and you can name the tasks that take up everyone's Monday morning.

The workbench gives that work a method you can repeat in every department. Each map carries your name, so there is a record of who found the robot work and what happened to it.

02 · How it works

What you do in the workbench

  1. Map the task

Describe the task the way you would explain it to a new hire. The workbench lays it out step by step, with who does each step and the system it happens in.

  2. Mark the robot work

Each step is marked as robot work a machine can take, or as judgment that stays with a person.

  3. Hand it to AI

Every robot-work step gets a prompt written for the AI tool you name: Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini. Copy it, run it, and adjust it the first few times.

  4. Show the results

Pick the outcomes your company cares about, such as faster bids or fewer hours in AP, and track the work you handed over against them. That record is what you take to your manager.

03 · Plans

Choose a plan

Each plan runs on the same workbench. They differ in who uses it and whose brand is on it.

For you

Enabler

For one person who wants to lead AI at their company. Map your own tasks and the ones colleagues bring you, and build a record of the work you handed to AI.

For your company

Enterprise

For a company that wants an AI enabler in every department, all working from one list. AutomationTactics sets it up with you, and the Skill Factory can be added when the company is ready to turn the prompts into shared skills.

For consultants

White label

For consultants and firms who run AI discovery with clients. The workbench runs under your logo, colors, and domain, with a separate workspace for each client, and the maps go to your client with your name on them.

04 · Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does an AI enabler do?

An AI enabler finds the tasks people at the company repeat by hand, maps how each one runs, and hands the steps a machine can take to the AI tools the company already has. They also keep the record of what changed, so the company can see the result.

Do I need a new AI tool to use the workbench?

The workbench writes prompts for the AI tool your company already pays for: Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini. If your company has none of these, the maps still show where the robot work is, and that is the case for buying one.

Do I need IT's permission to start?

Mapping a task needs no access to company systems, because you describe the steps in your own words. Before you run a prompt on company data, check your company's AI policy, and bring IT in when a step touches sensitive records.

How is Enterprise different from the Enabler plan?

Enabler is one person working on their own maps. Enterprise puts an enabler in each department on one shared workspace, ranks the robot work across the company, gives an admin control of the seats, and includes setup with AutomationTactics.

How does white label work for consultants?

You run the workbench under your own logo, colors, and domain, with a separate workspace for each client. Your clients see your brand. AutomationTactics onboards you and runs the software behind it.

Pick a task you or a colleague repeats every week and map it in the workbench. The steps it marks are the first ones to hand to AI.
